Mario Chard


Mario Chard was born in northern Utah. The son of an Argentine immigrant mother and an American father, he is the author of the forthcoming Land of Fire, selected by Robert Pinsky for the 2016 Dorset Prize from Tupelo Press. Recent poems have appeared or are forthcoming in the The New Yorker, Poetry, Boston Review, and elsewhere. Winner of the “Discovery” / Boston Review Poetry Prize and a former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, he currently teaches in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lives with his wife and sons.
